Blueways (Rivers)

Rome's Blueways feature three rivers: the Etowah, Oostanaula, and Coosa. The rivers that converge in the middle of our downtown are filled with paddleboarders, fishers, and kayakers during the warm months. The area also boasts numerous creeks and lakes, perfect for a day outdoors.

Other great water options in our community include Cave Spring Rolater Park, the Rocky Mountain Recreation Area, and many more!

Greenways (Trails)

The trail system is expanding, and the community recently celebrated a new connecting trail on the AdventHealth ECO Greenway. The entire trail system features 16.7 miles and runs through Historic Downtown Rome. Many of the loops lead to parks or other prominent locations in the community.
TRED, Trails for Recreation and Economic Development, is a nonprofit that works to enhance the community's quality of life through trails. One way they do this is by providing Walk and Talks with TRED.
There is also an abundance of walking and hiking trails located on Berry College's Campus!
